Orientation Programme- Abhinandan   

A spring of learning, exposure and opportunities at Subodh Management Institute…

“Aim high. It is our limited thought that limits our career. With the power of thought one can achieve whatever one aspires to”, said, Director, Prof.(Dr.), Raju Agarwal, SMI, and formally began the Orientation Programme- Abhinandan which was held for the freshly recruited batch of MBA students. It was a two days programme focused on personality development of students. It comprised of various activities like meditation, motivational sessions and team building games.

“You need to be smart but you don’t need to be unethical to be successful”. These and many more inspiring quotations mesmerized the students. Among the esteemed speakers were B. K Anamika (Brahmakumaries), Mr. Ajeet Singh (Motivational Trainer), Dr. Satish Hada (Business Communication Expert), Nitai Charan Das of the Hare Krishna Movement and Akshay Patra Foundation and Dr. Uma (Eminent Social Works).

Aghaaz 2015- Ek Nayi Shuruwat

Aghaaz the welcome party for the 1st year students of MBA was organized by their immediate seniors.MBA students of SMI synergized their efforts towards a plethora scintillating performances, making Aghaaz a soulful day. The feeling of freedom and enthusiasm was in the heart of every fresher.

The Director, inaugurated the event alongwith the Convener Mr. Jitender Patwa in the presence of the SMI family. While addressing the students. Prof. (Dr.)  Raju Agrawal, the Director, SMI said, “It is a pleasure to welcome new students to our college. They are the future of the Nation”.

 1st year students became the freshest faces of SMI selected by an eminent jury and awarded the titles in the categories of best ramp walk, best solo dance, best group dance, best singer and best dressed student of the event.

Aghaaz reflected the rich tradition and culture of SMI and exhorted the 1st year students to imbibe this legacy and their achievements of excellence in all spheres of life. The fresher party concluded with Dr. Supriya Agarwal and Mrs. Manawati Panwar extending the vote of thanks towards all those who were involved in making “Aghaaz” a memorable day for the SMI family.

Aghaaz was followed by an equally rocking D.J Nights, snacks with cold drinks and lunch, comprising of delectable food. The energy on the dance floor proved that the new batch with their level of enthusiasm will do great work in future. Everyone was seen enjoying to the core, and as always demanding for more!!!

One Person – One Tree

The importance of trees in purifying the air, as natural resources, maintaining the ecological balance, preventing soil erosion, as medicines, habitats for fauna, providing nutrients to the soil etc. are well known to mankind.

“One Person – One Tree” keep environment pollution free programme was organized by the MBA students of SMI under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Raju Agrawal and faculty members. Students gathered in the campus and celebrated the event of tree plantation. Students planted different sapling at SMI campus. The procurement of sapling and other materials was done by students themselves. Students of 3rd semester lead the session by encoring and sharing their thoughts on nature and environmental conversation. Students had prepared a video on global warming which highlighted the past entry of environment problems and the increasing number of environment problems of recent times. MBA students shared their views on tree plantation emphasizing that not only planting a tree was important but it was also vital to nurture and safeguard it.

Blood Donation Camp

SMI organized a blood donation camp with the help of JSG Topaz Charitable Trust in the college premises. The camp was inaugurated by the ‘Pramod ji Darda and Convener, Sanjeev ji Kothari’. A team of doctors rendered their services for the cause. The students of SMI turned up in large numbers. After a welcome note from The Director, the doctors explained the benefits of donating blood and the need of it. The faculty members and non teaching staff also donated blood. Refreshment and certificates were distributed to all the donors. The chief guest applauded the efforts of the Institution in arranging the camp.

Teacher’s day celebration

The MBA students celebrated Teacher’s day on 5th sep. with energy, enthusiasm and reverence. Students performed various activities and greeted the teachers with flowers at SMI on this occasion and recalled the inspiration they had received from their earlier teachers. Students from the senior batches also shared their experience with their teachers. Activities and games were conducted for the faculties and prizes were distributed to them on this occasion.

In his address, The Director, Prof.(Dr.) Raju Agrawal, dwelt on the special relationship a teacher has with the students. “This noble relationship was celebrated in our ethos and continues to be valuables in the modern era,” he said. Each of the faculty members spoke of their own experiences with students and exhorted the students to value the guidance they receive from their teachers. They thanked the students for the celebration and for continuing this tradition at SMI. At the end of the program a cake cutting ceremony was held.

Deep Utsav

The student body of SMI possesses great diversity in culture and tradition. At SMI , the students are given the freedom to carry forth their traditions and celebrate their festivals in a homely manner. Along with the common festivals of Diwali, Holi, etc. which are celebrated at a very large scale, the students also celebrate their regional festivals with great fervor. These celebrations serve as a medium of interaction between cultures, exposing the students to the beauty and richness of Indian diversity.

Entirely organized by the students, Diwali at SMI is celebrated with great festivity. Hundreds of diyas, colorful rangolis and lights adorn the campus. The decorations done every year are unique and a treat to the eyes. The use of light in the ceremony is meant to symbolize the triumph of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil.

Swachh Bharat- ek Kadam Swatchta ki aur

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Swachh Bharat- ek Kadam Swatchta ki aur drive recently. As a part of responsible community, the Institution considering it as a  moral duty had organized a Cleanliness Campaign “SWACHHTA ABHIYAN” at SMI campus.

Taking this initiative a step ahead, students of SMI had gone beyond the classrooms The Director of the institute emphasized the importance of the mission of “„Swachh Bharat” to all the staff-members and Students of SMI and hence made them aware about the „Swachh Bharat‟ mass movement.

All the staff-members and students took part in the cleanliness drive. The team visited every corners of the building including various rooms, terrace, toilet, stairs, store, basement, water tank and the surrounding area of buildings. The inspection nearly took 4 hours to visit all the corners of the buildings.

Holi Utsav

S.S.Jain Subodh Management Institute organized the Spring Festival of Holi, indulging in a rare opportunity to play eco friendly colours with their friends. The revelers, many of them dressed in white, were soon doused with all the colors of a spring garden. The playing with colors represents the colors of spring and the tossing away of any negative feelings and thoughts that have accumulated over the winter.

Dahi-handimatka phor  were the fun activities  for students of SMI. Apart from different activities at the Holi Utsav on campus, the food stalls attracted everyone. On offer were thandaibadam shake, macaroni, chow mein, momo, dahi-vada and litti-chokha.

Blessings… the Farewell Function

A beautiful, emotionally charged farewell function was organized to bid the senior batch adieu. In keeping with the theme, The Convener and Director gave their heartfelt blessings to the students. The evening was a memorable one and included cultural programs like Singing, Dancing and fun filled games Followed by prize distribution and a special blessings card to each senior with a personalized message. Sakshi Jain and Vikram Singh were adjudged Miss SMI and Mr. SMI on the basis of holistic personality, talent and intellect. The program was followed by a sumptuous lunch.
